Criminal Harassment
Commonly known as stalking, criminal harassment involves a pattern of threatening or unwanted behaviour that causes someone to fear for their safety. This can include repeatedly following or communicating with someone, watching their home or workplace, or making threats.
Often tied to domestic situations or relationship breakdowns, criminal harassment is treated very seriously by the courts—especially if the complainant alleges fear or psychological harm. A conviction can lead to a criminal record, no-contact orders, and even jail time.
At K Deol Law, we recognize that criminal harassment allegations are sometimes based on misunderstandings, emotional disputes, or false claims. We investigate thoroughly to determine if the Crown can actually prove fear and intent, and we work to resolve matters early, often through withdrawal, diversion, or peace bonds. We also provide strong trial advocacy when necessary.
